The Marion County Health & Human Services (MCHHS) 2025 Year in Review highlights how the department supported community health, expanded services, and improved access to care across Marion County, Oregon.
MCHHS’s mission is to provide access to services and build partnerships to advance healthy communities. In 2025, that mission led to real results for individuals and families across Marion County.
Key Results from the 2025 Year in Review
- Nearly 19,000 people served
- More than 322,000 visits and interactions, including in mental health care, housing support, and public health services
- The new Behavioral Health Crisis Center opened in Salem, expanding crisis support
- Our Place opened as a family-centered recovery program with supported housing
- Public health services expanded, including vaccines, STI testing, and care coordination
- The percentage of employees who voluntarily left within their first year decreased from 19.4% in 2024 to 14.9% in 2025
- The MCHHS team participated in more than 30 community outreach events across Marion County
Looking Ahead
The path forward is clear, according to Administrator Ryan Matthews:
“As we look ahead, we remain focused on strengthening how and where services are delivered by improving access, deepening collaboration, and building systems that are responsive, integrated, and centered on the people we serve.”
